Monastery House | Mani Peninsula

Etsi Architects were commissioned to design and construct a holiday house for an extended family, in Mani Peninsula, Greece. The plot of land was located high on a mountainside, offering spectacular views of the village and the sea below.  

The Family’s main requests from the architects were the preservation of the privacy of the members, with individual spaces for each one and security. The resulting building was inspired by the Greek monasteries and the local traditional stone buildings with tiled roofs, combined with minimal elements of the modern flat-roofed buildings. 

The outdoor spaces have been adorned with carefully selected furniture from the renowned Fermob brand. Opting for Fermob the area transformed into an array of vibrant colors, breathing life and exuberance into the surroundings, while also providing a distinct and captivating aesthetic appeal. 

Moreover, the seamless integration of Fermob's minimalist designs with the architectural elements of the residence has resulted in an authentically unique and dynamic atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of modern living.
