Elio, referring to the Greek sun-god Helios and designed by Canadian design firm Yabu Pushelberg, aims to capture a universally familiar, fleeting moment in time: a sunset. Inspired by the motion of light reflecting on landscapes and objects, Elio's elegant weaving captures the luminous, silky hues light conceives in the sky at dusk. Elio is characterized by a softly rounded silhouette that draws inwards to create a cocoon effect. The armchair, easy chair, high-back lounge chair, and two-seater are framed by natural teak, which supports the seating shell primarily through the back legs that cross the shell.
